Luxuriate in the cosiest and chicest fabrics of the season

Autumn and winter are the seasons of indulgence. Think soft cashmeres, silky woollens, snug shearling coats. And then mix and match with abandon, because with these quality building blocks, you can piece together a blend of textures that feel as great as they look.

The preppy look has to be one of the most timeless and recyclable trends in the entire fashion arsenal.

Think understated classics with a heavy collegiate twist. It’s the staples of The Ivy League set: cable-knit cardis, polo and button-down shirts, striped jackets and ties – for men and women – emblazoned with the school crest. The preppy trend’s roots might be firmly on campus, but its aesthetic is ageless.

It’s high time to give khaki its due – and a lot more of our wardrobe space.

I’m not sure many realise how versatile khaki is. I’m delighted that it’s having a moment this autumn/winter. It’s as timeless, sophisticated and easy as safe old black, but so much more flattering on most of us. Get ahead of the curve and invest in a head-to-toe khaki colour statement.

Boho chic has enjoyed an explosive return to favour this year.

While summer and festival season might be over for another year, fashion’s not done with this rekindled love for floaty dresses, draped shawls and tassels on everything from boots to bags to vests. The result? A fabulously dramatic spin on festive dressing.
