Le Creuset Brand consultant at John Lewis & Partners

To have ownership of all operational aspects of the Brand within a defined account.  To work closely with the department manager and buyer, to deliver optimum sales, levels of customer service, and maintain the premium positioning of the Brand in-store at all times.

Available to work from Thursday – Sunday: 4 days per week – 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • To greet all customers that come into the department, assist them with their product selection, and convert opportunities to achieve both store sales targets and Le Creuset sales out targets.
  • Merchandising Le Creuset products within their product group as defined by the National Account Manager and the Store.
  • Ensure Le Creuset and Store visual merchandising rules are applied to include range guides, recipes and POS as well as:
    • Maintaining clean and bright displays
    • Ensuring stock availability at all times
    • Clearly and accurately ticketing stock
    • Ensuring the area is clean and tidy by carrying out housekeeping duties including dusting, sweeping and clearing rubbish as directed.
  • Actively promote and present all Le Creuset products using company sales techniques. This should include advising customers on product suitability, care and use, and unique selling points.
  • Actively demonstrate the features and benefits  of the products to consumers when required by Le Creuset.
  • Process all sales transactions quickly and efficiently in line with the stores standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Deal with queries and complaints received either by phone or in store, in line with Le Creuset and Store policies and procedures. Implement appropriate action in a timely manner to ensure resolution and consumer satisfaction. 
  • Report any complaints received or issues incurred with Le Creuset products to the Le Creuset National Account Manager and / or Le Creuset Customer Service team as and when they occur.
  • Place and follow up orders and special orders as agreed with the buyer.
  • Liaise with the National Account Manager with regards current, future and potential Le Creuset product promotional activities, and sales out figures.
  • Liaise with the Le Creuset National Account Manager and Department Manager regarding sales information, competitive products, current buying trends/colours, the prominent location and maintenance of in-store displays/promotional materials.
  • Assist the Le Creuset National Account Manager in the presentation of new or promotional lines to store personnel as required.  Create solutions for the display and merchandising of new ranges / promotions in readiness for launch.
  • Report weekly by phone to National Account Manager.
  • Submit a weekly sales report and report on any other required feedback at the end of every week.
  • Ensure high levels of product knowledge by reading up on products, attending courses and visits as directed, and pass this knowledge on to other members of the in store team.
  • Represent Le Creuset, and demonstrate the Le Creuset company values at all times
  • Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
  • Ensure that at all times you take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations, particularly by reporting promptly any defects, risks or potential hazards.

Knowledge Required

  • Sales experience in a retail environment dealing directly with consumers/customers
  • Cookware sales experience in a retail environment
  • Conversant with current Le Creuset product range
  • An interest in cooking

Skills & Qualifications

  • Numerical and Literacy qualifications
  • IT Literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) to intermediate level
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Customer/Consumer Service skills
